Location, Location, Location
Once he finds a job that is in his wheelhouse, Cory begins targeting the location.
“The first thing candidates do is check the location of a prospective job,” he told us. “This is the major reason why they decide to not go through with an application.”
Certainly, your argument as a recruiter to employers as to why they should hire your candidate is only strengthened by the fact that your candidate is local.
So how do you find a candidate with a particular set of skills from a particular location within the United States?
With niche sites and job boards, you can drill down on these specifics.
Overcome the Long-Distance Problem: Talk to your candidate
Based out in Northern Ohio, Cory found the perfect candidates for The Wills Group halfway across the country in Maryland. He was able to bridge the physical distance, not allowing it to affect communicating with his candidates.
For one, Cory can send consent forms to his candidates (asking them to give him permission to represent them through the hiring process) straight from the Reflik platform!
But simplifying the consent procedure is not the only way Reflik helps recruiters like Cory communicate with their candidates more effectively.
“I try to build rapport with my candidates,” Cory told us. “I answer any questions they may have and make sure they understand just how everything works.”
