A long-time New Jersey resident, Jennifer Amaefuna stopped by our offices in Somerset. Filling a position with EnvisionRx in Ohio, Jennifer has earned thousands of dollars in placement fees on the Reflik platform.
Thribhu Chevva, a digital marketing associate here at Reflik, spoke with Jennifer to understand how she started a recruitment business so early in her career and how Reflik has helped her.
Thribhu: So let’s start with the job requisition you recently filled on the Reflik platform.
Jennifer: I filled a software engineering position in Ohio with EnvisionRx. They were recently acquired by Rite-Aid Pharmacies. Fun fact!
TC: Are you new to recruiting? Is it something you’ve been doing for a while?
JA: I’ve been recruiting for 2-3 years. I’m fairly new. I’m a recent grad.
IT recruiting is my passion and I absolutely love it.
TC: So 2-3 years in a staffing firm or on the hiring side?
JA: Both. I have done corporate recruiting. I have also worked at a staffing agency.
TC: How did you get to Reflik?
JA: While I was at my last position, I tried to see what was out there. I did my research. I came across Reflik and I saw that there were a lot of job reqs for me to work on. So I started working on Reflik.
TC: What were your first thoughts about Reflik?
JA: It was pretty exciting! I had never done anything like this before. I have only recruited in brick-and-mortar settings – the traditional way recruiting is done.
The flexibility and the communication that I get while working on Reflik’s positions is amazing. I can reach out to anyone at Reflik – whether that means for technical support, about a candidate [whom I’ve submitted], or just about anything else.
Reflik captures my recruiting workflow very well with its technology, as well.
I can really see myself growing with the Reflik platform. I would love to have my own recruitment consultancy soon. I can actually see that happening with Reflik because I can recruit on my time with some really exciting companies!
TC: We notice that there is a ramp-up period when new recruiters sign up with us. Could you walk us through how you got started?
JA: I think I signed up [to Reflik] last year. It is hard to say because my daughter was hospitalized for three months and I couldn’t focus on recruiting as much as I would have liked to.
What I found out down the line is that the more effort and time you put into Reflik, like everything else in life, the more results you see.
I really started dedicating energy and time to filling positions on Reflik this year, shortly before I filled that position with EnvisionRx.
TC: So you have less than 3 years of experience as a recruiter and, in the short period of time you spent working on this particular IT job, you filled it. How?
JA: Recruiting is a business about who you know.
In my previous position at a staffing agency, I made connections with a lot of candidates. I did not know it then but, after working on the Reflik platform, I realized that I was actually building a pipeline of potential candidates.
Reflik was the perfect opportunity to deploy this pipeline. There are so many job openings available on the Reflik platform. Matching candidates I know with the jobs on the Reflik platform was pretty easy.
TC: So, I understand that Reflik connected you with the jobs. We call this “a match made in Reflik.” You bring the candidates. We bring the jobs. Is there anything else Reflik did to help you succeed?
JA: I love Reflik’s technology. The platform is very unique. It is tailored to not just fit the employer’s needs but also to fit the recruiter’s needs.
It is very intuitive and helpful. Every piece of information provided to recruiters is relevant, up-to-date, and in the exact place I expect it to be.
There are not a lot of services out there that give recruiters relevant, up-to-date information that is delivered in such an easy-to-follow way.
Recruiters working on the Reflik platform can attend meetings with hiring managers, speak with account managers, and read real-time updates on the job insights page for each job. There are so many resources to stay up to date on changes to a job. In this business, there is almost nothing that is more important.
TC: Can you talk to me more about the quality of your experience on the Reflik platform as a user? How does that help you recruit better?
JA: I tell a lot of my friends that Reflik is not just a tool or job site, it is a lifestyle.
Reflik is a set of routines and habits that, with the help of technology, empowers recruiters to do independent recruiting really well based on industry best practices.

But, as we’re talking about experience, I can’t help but mention the communication on Reflik. It is very easy to reach out to someone about my work. Not receiving feedback on your hard work seems to be a norm within the recruiting and staffing industry. I don’t think that’s fair. I’m glad to see Reflik challenging and changing the status quo!
TC: Who do you reach out to for assistance on the Reflik platform?
JA: Well, usually the recruiter alliance team. They are recruiters’ point of contact at Reflik. In many cases, as my candidates get further in the hiring process, account managers are super helpful as well.
